Intensive Care Unit
Maintaining the human connection
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides both intensive monitoring and treatment. ICU patients have existing or potentially life-threatening health problems. Interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care is achieved through clinical pathways, patient rounds and family conferences.
Patients who have been treated in the ICU's of larger hospitals before being transferred to Huggins often tell us they feel like they’ve "come back home" where skilled nurses – rather than an ever-changing parade of technicians – provide round-the-clock, quality care.
We treat you like part of our family.
