Taher Gulamhusein, MD is a provider at Wolfeboro General Surgery and is proud to once again call Huggins Hospital home. “It is a privilege to be back,” he shares.
Dr. Gulamhusein first joined Huggins Hospital as a locum provider in 2022 and we are delighted to welcome him back in a permanent role. He values being part of the Wolfeboro community and appreciates both its warm, small-town spirit and the natural beauty that surrounds it.
He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from The University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center. He later went on to complete his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York and fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery from The Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute in Ohio.
Dr. Gulamhusein is certified in advanced surgical techniques including robotic-assisted procedures.
Dr. Gulamhusein puts a strong emphasis on family. When he’s not seeing patients, enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, staying active through exercising and watching just about any sports game.
