Ruth Swenson, FNP-C

Ruth is a primary care provider at Ossipee Family Medicine and Alton Family Medicine. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of New Hampshire. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from New Hampshire Technical Institute and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Houghton College in Houghton, NY with a double major in Biology and Studio Arts.

Ruth has been a member of our local community for many years with over 12 years of experience caring for patients at Huggins Hospital. She is excited to provide primary care services in our community in order to develop longer relationships with her patients and follow them through all aspects of their health and the health of their families. Ruth is interested in a whole-person care approach, involving all aspects of health including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Ruth lives in Ossipee with her husband and four children. She enjoys gardening, horses and many outdoor activities. Ruth also enjoys travel and mission trips having already traveled around the world to help others in places such as Pakistan, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Jamaica and Bolivia.
