Joel B. Huleatt, MD

Joel B. Huleatt, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder arthroplasty. He has a keen interest in minimally-invasive arthroscopic surgery, including rotator cuff repair and ACL reconstruction. Dr. Huleatt performs 3-D custom templating and the latest techniques in anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements to allow for same-day or next-day home recovery. He is committed to making sure his patients understand the structural cause of their pain or injury and the expectations of available treatment options.

Dr. Huleatt is proud to be a physician for the US Ski and Snowboard Team and travels internationally to cover events.

Dr. Huleatt is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, New England Shoulder and Elbow Society, and New Hampshire Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Huleatt earned his medical degree at Brown University Medical School in Providence, RI. He then completed a research internship in Sports Medicine at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, CO, residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Arthroplasty at the University of Connecticut. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Huleatt graduated at the top of his class from St. Bonaventure University, where he played four years on the soccer club. 

When not at work, Dr. Huleatt enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, two children and two dogs. He is an avid skier and mountain biker and also enjoys surfing, trail running and playing soccer.
