COVID-19 Detected in Employee

Huggins Hospital has learned that COVID-19 has been detected in an employee who has been isolating at home since the onset of symptoms. The employee reported that no symptoms occurred until March 18th and the initial symptoms included fever and headache but no respiratory symptoms.

At the onset of symptoms, the employee was tested for COVID-19 and has been in home isolation since that time.

Employees and patients who may have had close contact with this employee have been notified. Huggins Hospital is working with NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to ensure a comprehensive notification process. This employee’s results were reported by DHHS today, March 26th, from testing that took place on March 18th. The employee has been isolated at home since the testing took place and is currently still at home.
